Summer fun!

Kayaks

We went kayaking with our nieces Sami, Miranda, and Sami's boyfriend Nathan at Viking Lake.

The kayaks we have are flat bottom. We originally decided on this kind since the kids were smaller when we bought them and they don't tip as easily. Four of them fit perfectly in the back of a suburban (and if you know Chuck this was a major selling point). You can take small kids or pets with you on the deck area.   They have a little storage area in the seat to put items you don't want to get wet which is nice also. The down side to these is they don't go as fast as the V-bottom style.

Everyone did well and had a good time....the only bad part was it was really windy and most of the kids had blisters by the time we were done from paddling so hard.
